Lynx Grill Burner Replacement & Uneven Flame Repair

If your Lynx is flaming high on one side and barely lighting on the other, or a burner has stopped firing altogether, you're not imagining it and you're not stuck buying a new grill. A Lynx is a premium, mostly stainless and brass build that's almost always worth repairing. We'll tell you straight whether yours needs a new burner or just a deep clean and a tune.

What you're seeing

One side roars, the other barely lights

Classic uneven flame on a Lynx. On the cast brass burners this is usually clogged ports from grease and carbon, or a corroded section of the burner tube. On the ceramic infrared burners it often means cracked or fouled ceramic tiles that no longer radiate evenly. We clear the ports and check whether the burner can be saved or needs replacing.

A burner won't light at all (but the others do)

Lynx uses hot-surface igniters rather than spark or piezo, so a dead burner is frequently the igniter element failing or a loosened wire, not the burner itself. We test the igniter, the wiring, and the gas flow before condemning anything, so you don't pay for a burner you didn't need.

Lazy yellow or orange flame instead of crisp blue

Yellow, floppy flames on a Lynx point to spiders or debris in the venturi tubes, blocked ports, or an air-shutter that's drifted out of adjustment. It's also a carbon-monoxide and flare-up concern, so it's worth fixing fast. We pull and clear the burners and reset the air mix.

Trident or ceramic infrared not getting hot enough

The Trident infrared and ProSear ceramic burners are what give a Lynx its searing power. When they glow patchy or never reach temperature, the cause is usually cracked ceramic, grease soaked into the surface, or a clogged orifice. These are rebuildable, and we'll show you the part before we touch it.

Blue-LED knobs lit but rotisserie or back burner is cold

The illuminated knobs and rear infrared rotisserie burner are a Lynx signature, and the rotisserie burner is a common failure point because it lives at the back where grease and weather collect. A cold rotisserie usually means a fouled or cracked rear infrared burner or a failed igniter on that circuit.

How we fix it

We come to your home, pull the grates and heat shields, and inspect each Lynx burner in person, the cast brass tube burners, the ceramic infrared ProSear, the Trident infrared, and the rear rotisserie burner, checking ports, ceramic faces, igniter elements, wiring, and orifices before we say a word about parts. A lot of "dead" Lynx burners are really just choked with grease or running a bad hot-surface igniter, so we test before we replace and we show you what we find. When a burner genuinely needs replacing we use the correct Lynx component and get it done the same visit whenever the part is on the truck, then we deep-clean the whole grill, burners, emitters, grates, and firebox, while we're in there so you get an even flame and a clean cook surface in one trip. Lynx is a high-end grill that's almost always worth saving over replacing, and we'll give you an honest call either way, including the rare case where the cost says otherwise.

Questions, answered

Can a cracked Lynx ceramic infrared burner be replaced, or do I need a new grill?
Replaced. The ceramic infrared and Trident burners are serviceable components on a Lynx, not the whole grill. We swap the affected burner and re-tune the others. A Lynx is built to be rebuilt, so a new grill is almost never the answer.
Why does only one of my Lynx burners have a weak flame?
Almost always clogged ports or a corroded section on that single burner, sometimes a partially blocked venturi or orifice feeding it. We clear and test it first, and only replace the burner if it can't hold an even flame after cleaning.
My Lynx burner clicks or the knob lights but it won't ignite. Is the burner bad?
Probably not. Lynx uses hot-surface igniters, so a no-light is more often a failed igniter element or a loose wire than a bad burner. We test the igniter and wiring before recommending any burner replacement.
Do you fix the rotisserie back burner and the LED knobs too?
Yes. The rear infrared rotisserie burner and its igniter are common service items, and we check the illuminated knob assemblies as part of the visit. Send us a photo and we'll tell you what it likely needs.
How do I get a price for Lynx burner repair in Cincinnati, NKY, or Dayton?
